We would like to inform all our  patients that  all  incoming and out going telphone calls  to the practice  are recorded.

The practice now has a number of extended hours appointments available they are  provided by our out of hours provider St Helens Rota. 

Appointments are available  after 6.30pm and  also at the weekend , appointments will be at Albian Street Clinic in St Helens. Car parking is available.

Please ask  our receptionists for further details 

 

Longton  Medical Centre would like to welcome Mr Glyn Howard  to the Practice team.

Glyn is an Advanced Nurse Practitioner and is available  for consultations Monday to Friday.

Following our Patient Participation Group  meeting in March the following information letter  has been devised for our patients.

Repeat Prescriptions

Medicines Management Team have completed a review of repeat prescription ordering at the practice.

It was noted that patients are ordering prescriptions too early.  The practice will only be issuing prescriptions when you have 5 days of medication remaining.  Any requests more than 5 days early will be rejected.

IF YOU HAVE PREVIOUSLY  ORDERED YOUR PRESCRIPTION OR BOOK YOUR APPOINTMENT USING THE  ONLINE SERVICE, OUR NEW ON LINE SERVICE IS NOW AVAILABLE  HOWEVER YOU WILL NEED TO SIGN UP TO THE NEW SERVICE. Please bring photographic identification and a utility bill  to the surgery  you can either start the registration process using  the relevent section on our website or  calling into the surgery. 

If you are unable to  telephone the surgery on our  phone number this could be due to technical problems.  The surgery has an  alternative phone number for patients  to use.  Please dial 0151 244 4461
